Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) uses laser light to jump start the body’s natural ability to heal. Red and infrared light is used to deliver energy to tissues and cells that then transform the light into biochemical energy. The result is a decreased inflammation, improved blood supply and normalization of the tissue function. Unlike most drugs and other therapies, laser therapy is non-toxic and non-invasive. No significant adverse effects have been noted in over one million individual treatments. The goal is to reduce pain, improve the quality of life and get a person back to normal activities as quickly as possible.
