Jaclyn Smith is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor.On a series of academic scholarships, she completed seven years of post-secondary education—first receiving her Bachelor of Science from The University of Western Ontario, followed by a Diploma of Naturopathic Medicine from the accredited Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.She is registered with The Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy (BDDT-N), and is a member of The Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
Jaclyn’s thirst for knowledge has paved the way to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor.Growing up in a family afflicted with autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, scleroderma), she eventually refuted the belief that there was no cure, and began to question the underlying cause.Through her search for treatments, she stumbled across Naturopathic Medicine, a science rooted in the principle, “Tolle Causam”, meaning “Treat the Cause”.The rest is history.
Jaclyn’s practice focuses on naturopathic rheumatology (autoimmune disease), pain management and women’s health.Her primary modalities include the safe and effective use of Asian medicine and acupuncture, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, detoxification and lifestyle counselling.
