Sunny Maya Registered Massage Therapy clinic provides deep tissue massage and exercise rehabilitation for muscloskeletal injuries. We are located in a private clinic in downtown Ottawa, and have been providing treatments since 1991. Call or email us for an appointment.
My focus for treatments is based on my research in body mechanics and motion developed from years of training to be a good racer in cycling and cross country skiing. Injuries and genetics prevent me from being a top notch Nationals racer or Olympic lifter however it does not stop me from continuing in physical strength training and preliminary olympic lifting that allows me to be at my best to enjoy sports to the maximum.
My massage career grew from my research in body mechanics to improve my performance and my Clients'. My Client assessment process determines the point of injury that allows for focused treatment. For more than 20 years I have treated Clients, getting them to be their best after their injury or just to improve and reach their personal best. The corrective exercises and massage techniques I use for athletes, I may also apply to active people with work injuries, typically the back and neck. Using my massage and simple stretching exercises Clients get back into active sports or are more energetic and productive at work.
