We are your neighborhood dental office and we offer quality, long-lasting dental care in a small, friendly, caring environment.
Viewmount Dental Centre is a well-situated dental office between Merivale and Fisher, with ample free parking, close to many convenient amenities, where you can run your quick errands before or after your appointments. You will find our busy patients coming in a little earlier for their appointments to enjoy some time to themselves in our cozy reception area, while reading today’s newspaper and sipping on a flavored coffee from our complimentary coffee bar.
To help ensure your safety, we adhere to the meticulous infection control standards of the Ontario and Canadian Dental Associations. Instruments are individually sterilized after each use and dental chairs, lights, counters and x-ray heads are disinfected after each patient.
A big part of our job is to keep you fully informed about every aspect of your oral health. We believe in a high standard of care and our team enjoys staying updated with the latest developments through various courses and dental reports. If you have any questions, please ask. We’re here to help.
Meet the Team
Dr. Gurneen Sidhu
Born and raised in Halifax NS , Dr. Sidhu completed her Bachelor of Science (Biology) and Doctor of Dental Surgery at Dalhousie University in 1996. She has been in private practice for 14 years. She chose dentistry as a profession as it allows her to exercise her scientific side while serving the public. One of the things she enjoys most is the interesting people she meets. Neena certainly is a "people person".
Dr. Sidhu is committed to providing her patients with conscientious and compassionate dental care with a gentle touch. She listens carefully to her patients concerns while providing optimal dental care with fine esthetic results.
Neena takes the time to help anxious patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. She is very careful to manage anxiety in children. Indeed her love of children is evident in the humorous manner in which she approaches and works with them.
You may find Neena humming a tune as she works on your teeth. She brings a love of life to her practice, noting "It's our second home."
Neena and her husband love to call Ottawa home as it allows them to indulge in city life and the beautiful outdoors. Neena's passions include travel, hiking, ultimate frisbee and fine dining.
Dimitra has been at Viewmount Dental Centre since graduating at Algonquin in 1997 and has continued her commitment, to all new and loyal patients of this office, throughout the few changes it has seen over the decade. She was also a dental assistant for 5 years prior to graduating dental hygiene, which allowed her to work with many specialists and special needs patients, therefore bringing a wealth of first-hand knowledge to our patients. In the winter semester of College, she dedicates herself to training other hygiene students in the clinic of Algonquin College and has been doing so since 2006. Outside of the dental field, Dimitra loves spending her time learning about life from her young daughter and son, travelling to Greece to be with her immediate family and photography to have a recollection of what happens around her.
Melissa graduated from Career Canada College from Dental Assisting in 1998 and brings her vast knowledge of dentistry to the front desk in order to better assist our patients with their variety of questions. With her many years of experience in the operatories and reception, Melissa brings a calmness and confidence to our office atmosphere and is a significant team member. Melissa enjoys being busy raising her two active boys in the country, along with two dogs and one cat, and when the hectic days dwindle she enjoys a good book and a glass of cabernet.
